Committees are the association’s backbone and account for the success of association activities.

They are the means to accomplish the year’s goals and the building blocks for future years. Committee members are the association of tomorrow. Decisions of the Board of Directors are based on the research and recommendations of committees.

By volunteering you can help:

  • Promote interests of the home building industry at the state Capitol by: promulgating legislation to advance the industry, monitoring legislation that could impact the industry and opposing legislation detrimental to home building and home ownership.
  • Create coalitions toward the achievement of CAHB’s public policy agenda.
  • Provide funding and other assistance to candidates who support the building industry and private property rights.
  • Assist local associations when facing onerous legislation or regulatory action, such as, unreasonable growth limitation initiatives, excessive building requirements and environmental restrictions.
